Wild Ginger 8211 Canadense 1 Pack

Asarum canadense – Wild Ginger A charming native woodland perennial, Wild Ginger forms a dense carpet of velvety, heart-shaped leaves just 612cm tall, spreading 30cm or more via creeping rhizomes. In spring, hidden beneath the foliage, it produces small bell-shaped, reddish-brown flowers that attract early-season flies and beetles. Its evergreen-like groundcover habit suppresses weeds and remains lush into fall, making it ideal for shade gardens and naturalized woodland settings. With minimal care and excellent deer and rabbit resistance, it’s a beautiful, wildlife-friendly solution for moist, humus-rich shady spots. 1Bare Root Heartshaped groundcover foliage Hidden spring flowers Deer & rabbit resistant Specifications Details Colour Deep green foliage; brownpurple flowers Hardiness Zone 3 9 Plant Height 48in (1020cm) Plant Width 1224in (3060cm) Sun Requirements Partial to full shade Fragrant No Deer Resistant Yes Plant Timing Spring or fall planting Bloom Timing April – May Plant Depth Rhizomes just below soil surface; plant shallow Plant Spacing 1218in apart (3045cm)
