Wild Currant

A hardy, bushy shrub producing masses of small berries that ripen from green to deep black. Sweet and tangy when fully ripe, the fruit is ideal for fresh eating, jams, sauces and preserves. Native to northern Australia, Wild Currant thrives in full sun to part shade and tolerates a range of soils once established. A wonderful addition to a bushfood garden, it also supports local birdlife and pollinators. Plant for flavour, resilience and a true taste of the wild.
