Philodendron ‘Orange Princess’

Philodendron ‘Orange Princess’ is a self-heading hybrid grown for its fiery new growth, which emerges bright orange before maturing through amber to deep green. This variegated form adds an extra layer of cream, lime and mint splashing that varies from leaf to leaf, so no two plants are ever quite the same. Compact and non-climbing, it makes an eye-catching addition to a bright shelf or windowsill.

Origins
‘Orange Princess’ belongs to the Philodendron erubescens group, whose parent species are native to the tropical rainforests of South America. It was bred in cultivation as a selection prized for its orange-toned foliage, with the variegated form arising as a further sport.
