Organic Garbanzo Bean

This delicious, versatile bean can be enjoyed as a fresh shelling, dry, or sprouting bean. Garbanzo is a nutrient dense, fiber rich heirloom, popular in Indian, Middle Eastern, and vegan cuisine. While Garbanzo is a cool season crop, it does not do well in extreme northern climates. 40 seeds minimum Germination: 10-14 days Maturity: 90-100 days Direct sow 1 -2 deep in full sun on or just before last frost date or start indoors 6-8 weeks prior to last frost. Sow in peat or paper pots indoors and transplant beans in their pots. Compost well. Space plants 3-6 apart; space row 2-3 apart.
