Giant Gunnera

These giant plants are one for the botanists or those in search of a prehistoric garden. This monstrous vegetable thrusts huge umbrellas of leaf up to 1.5m towards the sky to create a mini forest of stems that need no staking. Must have constantly moist soil and plenty of space. An excellent understorey plant. Remove seed heads as it can become weedy in ideal growing conditions.
