Dracaena draco 135cm high

The Dracaena draco, also called the Dragon Tree, stands out with its bold, architectural shape and smooth grey trunk that branches like a candelabra. Native to the Canary Islands, this evergreen monocot forms a dense, umbrella-like crown of sword-shaped, blue-green leaves, creating a striking silhouette against sky or structure. Its slow growth and sculptural beauty make it a popular focal point in xeriscaped gardens, modern courtyards, and Mediterranean-inspired designs.

In maturity, Dracaena draco produces clusters of creamy-white flowers, followed by orange-red berries that add color and seasonal interest. The leaves form dense rosettes that seem to spiral from each branch tip, adding dramatic texture and rhythm. Its bark exudes a reddish resin known as “Dragons Blood,” which has been prized since antiquity. This rare, prehistoric-looking tree can live for centuries, making it a living sculpture in any landscape.
