Why Choose Datil Pepper Seeds?

Exceptional Heat & Flavor: Unlike other super-hot peppers, Datil peppers offer a complex, sweet, and fruity taste that makes them a favorite in Minorcan recipes and local St. Augustine cuisine.

Heirloom & Open-Pollinated: These non-GMO, heirloom seeds ensure youre growing authentic, high-quality peppers just like the ones celebrated at the annual Datil Pepper Festival.

High-Yield Plants: Each plant grows up to 30″ tall, producing an abundance of 3-1/2″ peppers perfect for harvesting at their peak yellow ripeness.

How to Grow Datil Peppers

Start your Datil Pepper Seeds indoors 8 weeks before the last frost. Plant them 1/4″ deep in sterile soil, maintain 85F bottom heat, and keep them moist under bright light. Seeds typically germinate in 7-21 days. Once seedlings develop 6 true leaves, transplant them 30″ apart in rich soil or large 5-gallon containers.
