Known commonly as Zinnia elegans, this economical mix is a favorite for cut flower arrangements, pollinator gardens, and bold mass plantings. Its tall, upright habit makes it ideal for borders, background plantings, and flower beds. The large blooms are long-lasting in vases and attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds to the garden. When paired with cosmos, sunflowers, marigolds, and salvia, it makes a stunning display in the garden.

Zinnias are among the easiest of all plants to grow from seed. Wait until the soil is warm to direct sow the seeds into a sunny, well-drained garden spot or your best containers. For an even quicker display, begin the seeds in the Bio Dome or seed flats in late winter, transplanting as soon as the seedlings have 2 sets of true leaves and the weather has warmed outdoors. Keep the plants watered and make sure they get lots of sun.
