Buddleja salviifolia

Buddleja salviifolia is a striking, fast-growing shrub native to southern Africa, valued for its drought tolerance and unique, textured foliage resembling sage leaves. It produces masses of fragrant, nectar-rich flowers in soft shades of lilac, mauve, or white during late winter and early spring, providing vital early-season food for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. This hardy, resilient plant thrives in poor soils, requires minimal care once established, and makes an excellent choice for informal hedging, windbreaks, or wildlife-friendly gardens. Its upright, loosely spreading habit adds structure and softness to dry, sunny landscapes.
