Anthurium decipiens

Anthurium decipiens is a rarer Anthurium known for its striking dark green foliage. Native to the Colombian highlands, this species thrives in humid, intermediate environments, making it suitable for indoor cultivation when provided with appropriate care.

Native to: Colombian highlands.

Water: Water deeply when the top layer of soil feels dry. Ensure the pot has good drainage to prevent root rot. Overwatering can lead to yellowing leaves, while underwatering may cause wilting.

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. Insufficient light may result in slower growth and reduced leaf size.

Humidity: Thrives in moderate to high humidity levels. Aim for 7080% relative humidity. Using a humidifier or placing the plant on a pebble tray filled with water can help maintain adequate moisture levels. High humidity needs make it suitable for terrarium cultivation.

Temperature: Maintain consistent temperatures between 1827C. Protect from cold drafts and avoid temperatures below 16C, as this can hinder growth.
