Centaurea Cineraria Purple

A silver foliage plant known for its tolerance to drought and frost. Its finely dissected silvery leaves, woolly on both sides, provide an excellent foil to other flowers and foliage. This versatile low growing perennial hails from the Mediterranean where it grows on exposed sites under difficult conditions. Purple thistle-like flowers appear in summer, often removed to retain design integrity. Perfect spilling out as edging or as infill in the border and companion to roses.
