Ariocarpus retusus

Ariocarpus retusus is a striking and slow-growing cactus known for its low, rosette-shaped form and thick, triangular tubercles. These tubercles are green to grey-green and arranged in a spiral pattern, giving the plant a star-like appearance. The surface of the tubercles is often smooth, but can sometimes have a slightly woolly texture at the tips. In autumn, it produces large, white to pink flowers that emerge from the center, creating a stunning contrast. The Ariocarpus retusus is highly valued by collectors for its unique form and beautiful blooms.
