Plant Care

Variegated Silver Grass is remarkably low-maintenance once established. Cut back old foliage in late winter or early spring before new growth emerges. Regular watering is required during the first growing season to establish a deep root system. Divide clumps every 3-4 years to maintain vigor and prevent center die-out.

Planting Instructions

Plant in spring or early fall, spacing plants 3-5 feet apart. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball and at the same depth. Position the plant at the same level it was growing in the container, backfill with soil, and water thoroughly. Apply a layer of mulch around the base, keeping it away from the crown to prevent rot.
